The Alhamidi Fishermen and Fisheries Cooperative is a cooperative whose members are fishermen. It was established on March 12, 2016, with the aim of improving the welfare of its members, particularly the people of Takalar Regency. It also serves as an integral part of a democratic and equitable national economic system. Starting from their shared daily activities as fishermen, the founders of the Alhamidi Fishermen and Fisheries Cooperative built a cooperative that is just and socially responsible and can serve as a model at the Regency, Provincial, and National levels. It was founded by 23 individuals committed to establishing a cooperative as a platform for members to meet the needs of fishermen.
